Rachel has been a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) since 2016. She received her BSW in 2013 from Eastern Connecticut State University. She went on to Simmons University completing their Advanced Standing program and earned her MSW in 2014. During that time, she was fortunate enough to intern at Year Up in the Student Services department. It was there that she grew to love the young people of Boston. After earning her graduate degree, Rachel went on to become a clinician, working with young men ages 16-22 in a residential setting in Dorchester. While working in the group home, Rachel had the honor of working with young men from Boston, and immigrants and refugees from all over the world. Rachel supported young men in navigating through the foster care system, and helped them in successfully transitioning into adulthood. She joined Boston Public Schools in 2020 and realized that this is where she was meant to be! Rachel is a wife, mother, and dog mama to Banks. She loves good food, good music, and a good laugh.
